Whenever, you send a thank you letter to a volunteer always write it in your official Church letterhead. This makes the letter seem more authentic and genuine.

b)Personalize your letter: Address your thank you letter by mentioning the volunteers name. This makes the letter more personalized and does not seem like the same draft sent to all the volunteers.

c)Tonality of the letter: Be warm when you write the letter. Think of the thank you letter to your Church volunteers as a personal note and not as business correspondence. Let your personality flow out of your writing.

d)Acknowledge the dedication and the effort: Volunteering is a gratifying experience but it is also a personal sacrifice for the volunteers. Appreciate and acknowledge their dedication, effort and sacrifice. Make the volunteers feel that their service to God has been noticed.  You could mention specific reasons to appreciate and thank a volunteer. For example: Thank you for your generous contribution or Thank you for your time and commitment.

Not only is the event fresh in your mind but it is fresh in the mind of the volunteer also. A timely thank you letter makes it more relevant and also makes your volunteer happy and content.

f)Share your goals and missions: Volunteers are there to help you seek your goals. They care about your work and want to sincerely fulfil your mission. When, you express your gratitude do mention how the work the volunteers are doing is connected to your mission. This makes the volunteers feel they are also part of the congregation of your Church and they are positively contributing towards God’s service.

g)Include some inspirational quotes: You can mention some inspirational bible verses in your thank you letter. Quotes and verses inspire and motivates the volunteers to keep doing good work.

Sign off: This may seem obvious, but put your signature along with your name. This is a formal letter so it is important that you sign the letter. A handwritten signature makes the letter look more authentic and personalized.

Dear Eric,

I want to take this opportunity on behalf of our Church to thank you for the recent services you did for our Church during the annual celebration. It was indeed a kind and noble act to digitize the entire  data of all our members. We would otherwise had to employ the services of a company for doing the same job. But, you did it for us without accepting any payment. We are highly appreciative for all your time, effort, hard-work and dedication and  value the zeal and enthusiasm you have for the work of God.

May God bless you with abundant joy and happiness. Please continue rendering your services to God, there is no greater satisfaction and peace in life than committing yourself to God.

Yours in the Lord,

Dear John,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for packing all of those snack boxes earmarked for the shelter. You were a critical part of the assembly line and you setting the pace helped the rest of the volunteers. You also saved the day when you went to the store and got some more refreshments after we ran out.

After, your stellar performance with the packaging you will be happy to hear that we handed over more 200 boxes of snacks the members of our homeless community. We also have another 200 boxes to distribute this weekend.

Thanks to all your hard work those in need will have food in their hands this week. It is people like you who makes us feel proud of what we do for the community.

I am glad and lucky to have you as a volunteer.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Rose,

Thank you so much for taking time to educate the young minds of our parish. You have given more than 40 hours of your time this month alone and it shows how dedicated you are to the cause.

As you are aware we set very high standards when it comes to education. It is imperative for the overall growth of the community that education is available to all. You have taken this idea and have taken it to new heights. This kind of volunteer service makes such a huge difference to the students aspiring for a bright tomorrow.

I am happy to report that your efforts have already started showing results. 38 students from your class have been accepted into Pier Front elementary school. The school has also been appreciative of your efforts. They are seeing scores of the test reports go up and students are showing up for school more regularly, and they are clearly enjoying their time there. Your part in achieving this is immense, and I am so grateful to have volunteers like you as a part of my team.

Once again, thank you so much for everything you have done. I hope to see you continuing this critical work in the future as well.

With Sincere Gratitude,

Dear Mrs. Parker,

Greetings in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ!

I am writing this letter to thank you for your contributions and for giving us your precious time towards volunteer services for the parish. I would like to thank you specially for the seminar of Health care. In these trying times it is extremely important that people understand the implications of having good health care facilities.

You have used your expertise and knowledge and your considerable influence with the local municipality to accomplish a lot for the community. But this kind of work does not stop with one person and the entire community needs to come together to help each other. Your message in the seminar on the best practices was loud and clear and also very well-received.

I have already received several nominations for the local community outreach program you had mentioned and I will put them in touch with you as you requested. Hopefully with more people getting involved and raising awareness we will be able to build on this.

I appreciate all the hard work you have put in to make this community healthier. We hope we will be able to support you on your initiatives.

Regards & Best Wishes,

Dear Dr Peter,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus!

On behalf of our Church I would like to extend our most sincere thanks to you for your volunteering services at our recently concluded event. The event “Saving lives” was to raise awareness towards the importance of Blood Donation and I can confidently say the event was a huge success. This success to owed to volunteers like you.

Medical professionals like you have the power to transform an entire community. Your seminar of the positive aspects of Blood donations for the donor as well as for the recipients changed quite a few minds last weekend.

From the events start until its end, we saw you working tirelessly and sincerely. And we appreciate you taking the time out separately to speak to the children to promote awareness. As you said during your seminar, awareness does not depend on one’s age and change begins at home. As a former student volunteer myself, I am aware of how powerful the right words at the right age can be. So, thank you.

You will be happy to know through the blood donation drive we collected 250 litres of blood. The blood has already been transported to our local blood bank.

Once again, I thank you for all your efforts and I hope I get the opportunity to work with you again.

Yours Sincerely,
